The yearning of Tristan, the victorious Tannhäuser, the ride of the Valkyries, the death of Siegfried and many other highlights from the Wagner music dramas in one evening.

A VOCAL RECITAL WITH FRENCH ART SONGS BY RAVEL, HAHN AND BERLIOZ

The wind in orange saiils, the rolling waves of the sea, the sound of a flute... The program is french art songs on the theme of love, the see and the far east. You can almost small the scent of cinnamon and myrrh! In this evening, the cycles of Ravel's “Shéhérazade“ and Berlioz' “Les nuits d'été“ as well as individual songs by Reynaldo Hahn are presented. Translations of the French text will be provided.

OF
STRINGS

A VOCAL RECITAL WITH SONGS BY BRITTEN, DE FALLA, RIHM AND MAHLER ACCOMPANIED BY GUITAR AND PIANO

The focus of this evening is the altenating sounds of guitar and piano with voice. The atmospherical contemporary songs of Britten and Rihm are contrasted with the romantic flair of de Falla and Mahler. Translations of the English and Spanish texts will be provided.

A VOCAL RECITAL WITH SONGS BY SCHUBERT, WOLF, KORNGOLD AND STRAUSS ABOUT NATURE, LIFE AND DEATH

The soaring of birds, the sunset, the stillness of the wood. All these images are metaphors for ancoming death but also for hope of the life after. This program combines lovely melodies and the wonderful text of the German poet Eichendorff as well as others. The centerpeice of the evening are the Four Last Songs of Strauss.

A VOCAL RECITAL WITH POEMS WRITTEN BY MEN ABOUT THE INNER LIFE OF WOMEN SET TO MUSIC BY SCHUBERT, BRAHMS, WOLF AND SCHUMANN

Many male poets have chosen the inner world of woman as their inspiration. Sometimes the hearer has the feeling that the poets could really empathize with the feelings of a woman. The women in the poems are happy or sad, cheeky or sweet. The highpoint of the evening are the Mignon Songs set by Schubert and the Schumann cycle "Frauenliebe und -leben".
